... and Zac is the b***h!!
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

It's a hole. Used to be good when club med was there but that died after 9/11.

Mind you, I was there with the Navy at the time so probably had different interests to you..... I doubt you'll spend as much time in pubs.

Being able to speak some french is important, they're stuck-up pricks and if you speak to them in english they'll pretend they don't understand. However if you try to speak french, then they'll try to speak english, usually after laughing at your pathetic attempts

Good food, the restaurants are awesome but fucken expensive. Just be careful of what you order, I ended up with cold raw venison for an entree and a $100 bottle of wine!!!
It's just one of those days, where you don't wanna wake up,
    everything is fucked, everybody sucks,
You don't really know why but you wanna justify ripping someone's head off

    In your opinion.....
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

    your a mess dude....

new caledonia - went there at the end of 3rd form. Stay away from the sea snakes, if you get bitten you will be dead within 40minutes. Stay around 'older' people in the towns and try to avoid the non-town places unless you are on a tour. I went with military so didnt really have to worry, but when my sister went they were in a group of mainly girls and had a pack of rabid natives try to round them up (i shit you not) - they had some army dudes escorting them though so they were fine.

But yeh, in general school trips are well organised and will keep you out of trouble. Also! Take a calculator with you, nothing more stupid than paying $8 yes eight fucking dollars for an ice block!

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

    AHHHHHHH!!!!! MUST SAY SOMETHING!!!!!!!!!

Couple of people mentioned sea snakes, but they are truely misunderstood. (Not calling you guys idiots, just mis-informed)

I spent a fair bit of my time in South Africa OBSESSED with snakes (not that kind you pervs). At one stage I owned over 25 of them all in my room in their own cages. I was a regular at the zoo's reptile enclosures when I was in the cities. I even won a quiz at the junior herpetologist quiz at PE zoo one year (still proud of that) and one of the prizes was a dive off the coast amounst the Pelamis platurus (The yellow bellied sea snake). They are the most placid animals you will ever come across, they dont attack you cause you are there.

There are a shit load of Laticauda Colubrina (black and white, pic attched) floating around the beaches, but I even managed to pick a couple up without pissing them off. General rule of thumb, if you are unsure of them, just ignore them, they wont bother you.

To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods
