Are we too hard on newbies..? In the last little while there have been a couple of newbies here that have been given a bit of a roasting. Ok so I'm one of the ones giving the shit. Is it just the manner in which they're introducing themselves? Grisdale is one recently that springs to mind...

Maybe it's a pack mentality thing - If you're new and you turn up here and post something that a couple of people may think isn't that good should you expect to get crucified for it? Should you just expect to take your licks and harden up?

Yes, I may have been mean but really this is a biker site not a bloody dating service if your gonna start a controversial thread then expect some controversy. Or harden up.

The way I see it is that this place is a biker site. It's not a creche, it's not a dating service, it's not a porn site - it's a bikers site for bikers (and most bikers are not pansy's). People give each other shit round here all the time and if ya can't laugh about it - then ya must have a pretty sad life...

Just an impolite way of saying NO really. I dont think it was mean, I was just being me and anyone that knows me knows thats what im like. And anyway the tone of the "conversation" wasnt exactly any different to that. I thought I was being nastier when I posted the lyrics to Desperado, funny how people read/see thing differently huh?!
