It is ok if you are not in a rush... If you know you have to be somewhere and you can see the time ticking away veeeeeeeery slowly and your not moving... at all! Then yeh it can be anoying!! I guess we just condition ourselves for such experiences

    I'm like Fishslayer.
Clock around 85km a day sitting in my cage on the Southern Carpark.
10-12 hours a week down the gurgler like a good chuck.

The reason? I have a company car and the gas and servicing is paid for. The bike is for fun and open roads, though the odd time I have taken it to work, it's been great. Less than half the travel time.

So, what I do when I get in the car? I stick the tranny in drive, put the brain in neutral; once on the carpark, I get in the right lane and spend the next hour or two, in zombie land, listening to the radio and moving over for the lucky buggers on their bikes.

I was thinking the same thing this morning as I was driving into work and wondering why the hell did I stuff around with my bike to the point that it will be out of action and in the workshop til Friday?

    Even the scooters looked inviting....

Why do people have to do that? Have people not heard of the "Keep left" rule?
Perhaps you were going to continue by saying "and holding up others on the road wanting to pass me"?

Errmm, cos the right lane actually moves. The left lanes are full of trucks and people doing 5kmh or 0kmh. I like going fast, so never hold anyone up.
I get on at Drury and off at Grafton, so being in the right lane doesn't affect anyone else.

I can move right over to the right to let bikers past.

I can think of many more reasons but I think you get my drift.

Oh, this morning took and hour and three quarters cos of all the prangs.

and normally i can't be fucked taking the bike - the ride to work is with sun right in my eyes, ride home in the fog/rain/frost/dark, or if i'm lucky and get to work late, it's 0700am and the sun's in my eyes again.

Yep took me about the same, bloody incompetent muppets. I reckon people who are found in the wrong for accidents on the motorway during peak hour should be fined about $10k for inconveniencing everyone else.

And I reckon they should allocate the 3 lanes on the motorway to suit your driving ability.

Slow lane should be renamed "Muppet Lane"
Middle Lane should be renamed "I'm Possibly A Muppet Lane"
Fast Lane should be renamed "Look At Me You Muppets I'm Actually Moving Lane"
