    Ex-world motorbike racing champion dies

Former world champion Gary Green has lost his fight against cancer.

In the late 1970s Green became world champion for 24-hour endurance racing. He specialised in endurance races like Le Mans 24 and won a host of trophies, including the European and Caribbean Championships.

Racing in the 1970s, I'd say that would have made him somewhere around 60 to 65 years old.

Couldn't come up with a lot about him (records back then seem to consist mainly of winners of a race unless you own programmes for a specific event), but I know he raced at the Suzuka 8 hours and won something like the Misano Mille in his time. And you don't get to ride Suzuka unless you have talent.

If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?
