    Hi all (Cutter)

I’m an old sailor about to become an old biker. I suspect I’ve been off bikes longer than many of you have been on them judging by the posts. Never had a license though so back to the old 250 for a while. Haven’t decided which way I want to head yet, cruiser or something livelier. Common sense says age gracefully, buy a cruiser and become a soul biker. Looking forward to your company.

You're in the wrong place if you're looking for common sense about bikes, mate! Welcome to the forum. You have been warned! It's a nuthouse in here! I too am a middle-aged returning biker and initially thought getting a cruiser would be the best thing to do, but got offered the GSX-F at a price I couldn't refuse. I love it! Twice the power and handling I was used to back in the '70's!

Welcome aboard then. You'll find heaps of us re-born bikers here to keep you company. How long was your 'bike-less period'? About 20 years for me I think.

Welcome to the madness of KB.
Once you are over the 250 stage you will find that technology has improved bikes beyond words. Enjoy.

Until you get owned by a two-stroke, and realise we've gone backwards
