    Updating your skills

    Hi guys an d gals,

I am now open for business for rider training. whether you have been riding for years, or just a couple of months, then look to see what I can offer you. Every stage of rider is considered, except those needing to do their basic handling skills test. Once you have passed this, then I am your person.
All you need is a valid licence, and a road legal bike.

Discretion is assured....your friends don't need to know that you took lessons from a WOMAN>

Do you want to learn to ride a motorcycle??
Do you consider yourself to be a skilled motorcyclist?
If you do, can you answer these questions?
    · What is the “tyre-grip-trade-off” and how does it affect your riding?
    · What is meant by the limit point?
    · When you overtake other traffic, do you keep your fingers crossed, or are you 100% comfortable with the manoeuvre?????

If you answered “I don’t know” to any of the above three questions, then you are in need of some tuition
Or maybe you have had a nasty experience, whilst riding your motorbike. Was there something that you could have done to avoid that situation arising??
No-one can ride perfectly. Every one has some mistakes.
As motorcyclists we need to ride DEFENSIVELY.
That doesn’t mean slowly and timidly, it means looking out for other road users, and not being surprised by their actions.
Training can make you a smoother rider, which not only leads to fewer accidents, but also reduces the wear and tear on your machine.

Phone Tricia on 021 269 3246, or email on triciaoconnor@xtra.co.nz and see what some training can do FOR YOU.
    · Specialising only in motorcycle instruction.

Complete bike to bike radio system.

Places are filling up, so get in early.

If I could tie up the tauranga people over a couple of days, then I would definitely come down.

If you are prepared to go to Tauranga, I would be happy to ride over the hill for that.

    Yes

Do you consider yourself to be a skilled motorcyclist?

If a muppet can be skilled, then yes/maybe, prolly not

If you do, can you answer these questions?

    I'll Try

    · What is the “tyre-grip-trade-off” and how does it affect your riding?

Ummm buy tyre fall off, more grip, buy new tyre fall off, get grippest tyre, still fall off, learn to ride properly, bingo tyre grip trade off!!

    · What is meant by the limit point?

Umm most prolly the point where you fall off, thats your limit

    · When you overtake other traffic, do you keep your fingers crossed, or are you 100% comfortable with the manoeuvre?????

Depends on the speed of the wheelie and how many cars i'm planning to overtake, to how comfy i am

P.S. PM cowpoos, shit i saw him riding at taupo the other day and he's in real need of help, not just in riding either.

Nice to see another "29er". 1977 was a good year, eh? My wife says if I'm really really good I might see the 30th!

Ps. I assume that in order to update one's riding skills one must first aquire said skills...? Does the fact I haven't fallen off very often count as skills?

Well going ta give Tricia 1000 a go. Booked for 17/06/06. Will see what she can do fa me and old "Roxanne". Be good ta have someone ta brake-down ma riding.
If any of ya Dude and Dudettes that have ridden with me have sensible suggestions on what things in my riding I can improve on please feel free ta PM me.
2 main things I'd like ta improve is Emergence braking (have not been practicing this ) and smoother cornering (I tend ta ride the back brake often as I corner).
Will do a report after I've been done.
