Ditch Nortons and go to NOD32 for anti virus, back this up by freeware- Ad-Aware from Lavasoft and spybot

Never have a virus problem again.

I second this sugestion, I remove viruses for a living and use this combo. Never fails. Also check out an antivirus called Norman. Norton is a clumsy large beast of a thing that slows PC's into the ground.

Norton Internet Security is one of the biggest reasons I get people complaining about being unable to connect to the internet. Also a major cause of people complaining that their computer is slow. Unnecessary when AVG or Avast are free and significantly less bloated. I've started recommending avast to everyone that complains now.

Yeah, if it's for non-commercial use then Avast is the one to choose at the momment.

Commercial anti-virus...probably Nod32 (maybe with Kerio Firewall). For a whole security suite then McAffee Internet Security.

Pete Norton's beast has gotten too bloated and it's now a cobbled together pieceof $hit.
