    WTB: Supermoto

OK peoples, I'm looking for a big bore Supermoto.
After a bit of research a KTM or Husqvarna seems to be the go, being lighter and having a bit more grunt than comparable converted Japanese big bore trailies. A dedicated supermoto or seriously converted road/trail bike would be preferred due to the lower seat height (Mrs Slowpoke will be throwing a leg over, too) and better braking etc. The thing will definitely be used on the road too, so it must have the ability to be road registered if not currently registered.
I know, it sounds like a tall order but hopefully someone will know someone who spoke to somebody at the pub who's neighbour has son who is looking to get rid of......yada yada

Thanks Chris, I've just had a trawl through there myself. The LC4's and Duke's are pretty heavy dual purpose things so something a bit more competition oriented would be more preferred. The 525 would be absolutely on the money....second hand. I just showed the ad to Mrs Slowpoke and the pained expression when she saw the price said it all!

The 525 is great in Motard guise, the one we had on test spent a lot of time under me. The seat ain't exactly comfy though! Try here for more bikes for sale. Don't discount the Jap bikes though.

the only 2 I would recomend would be the Husqvarna SM510R or the Husaberg FS650... the Husaberg is probably the most nutter/powerful motard out there and its about 112 kgs dry weight or something... but unless your a min of 6ft your not gunna find it easy touching the ground on any factory motard... most are still around 890mm seat height. My DR650 has been super-retard'd... its pritty bloody low (about 830) but its a chunky bird... still manages to clutch the front up in 4th and do 170....

Thanks man, the DR looks like a blast, although it sounds like a love/hate relationship!
