    Carparks/testing venues

We at UoA FSAE - www.fsae.co.nz - are looking for a testing venue over the next few weeks. If anyone knows someone or is someone with a large flat area of asphalt or concrete that we could do daytime and weekend testing on can you shoot me a PM or email to johan@fsae.co.nz? An absence of kerbs/potholes/drains/other nasty car breaking things is greatly helpful. The testing is likely to start 2 weeks from today, and continue on and off over then next 6 weeks. We are looking for something as close as possible to the Tamaki campus - very close to Mt Wellington.

    Thanks,

REad the link matey... go cart things. Pretty cool too.

Try asking Saint Kentigern College, they had some junior karters from (SKC) there doing a demo in the carpark.

Their work has payed off with a well tuned engine producing a max torque of 86Nm and max power of 94hP. Not bad for a 600cc which has to breathe through a 20mm intake restrictor!
A 20MM RESTRICTOR holey fark, suprised that thing runs at all...... 94hp is around stock rwhp of a R6 as it is, but not through a 20mm intake hehehe... good work guys. Nice to see a supercharger stuck on, I'm sure some people on this site would like to know how that was done.

The kart track at mt wellington isn't interested as they believe us to be a touch large/heavy for the surface. Schools are likely out as they are populated during the day, and have teachers and students who may not appreciate the distraction during classes.

What about somewhere like Whenuapai air base? Surely they have a "spare" runway they could let you blast around on?

Whenuipai absolutely rips up the tyres of cars though.... When the police do training there they went through at least one set of tyres in a day per car...
