I think it throws a single one in that's wrong just to throw you off now and then and to make you think it's not a simple, straight forward formula. This one has the different answer on 63.

yeah, but there's more than one symbol that's a possibility, hence the other screen shots..

Each time you play it, it uses a different symbol for the answer (there's only 9 possible answers and all 9 answers use the same symbol).

Try playing it 5 times in a row using the same number and see how it (almost) always gets it right.

It doesn't use the same symbol each time. It changes them. Use the same numbers 5 times in a row and it will get it right 5 times.

There are only 9 possible answers:

11 = 1+1 = 9
12 = 1+2 = 9
13 = 1+3 = 9
14 = 1+4 = 9
15 = 1+5 = 9
16 = 1+6 = 9
17 = 1+7 = 9
18 = 1+8 = 9
19 = 1+9 = 9
.....

i get that it all equals 9. I get that given enough times, it will pick the same one, and that they're all properties of 9.

but if you see the screen shots i posted, there's a different symbol on each screen shot, not the same symbol. I understand the theory of it all being something rooted to 9, but the symbols aren't..

It doesn't matter which symbol is used. What matters is there are only ever 9 answers. Each time you play it changes the symbol, but all 9 answers are still the same.

1st time
9, 18, 27 ..... =
2nd time
9, 18, 27 ..... =
3rd time
9, 18, 27 ..... =
4rd time
9, 18, 27 ..... =

ok, well my partner and i have just done this for the last 10 minutes, and did it a dozen times, and it got it every single time. I just don't get it. It couldn't be more random.. just couldn't.. tell ya what, you come round here, and you show me face to face.. cos it just doesn't make sense.. and yes, I know it's all a root of 9, but the symbols are just too random that it picks, and yet, it's fukin right every time..
