True BD - Your definition of work is more what James Watt had in mind - actual conversion of joules into something [useful] in a physical sense.

I get do some work as the token male - I get to do things like unjam the shredder, and fix things that the landlord hasn't got around to doing. Not a bad gig for the most part (for me) - but the spin doctors do seem to suffer terrible stress at times. Bugger that.

Right ... so the next time I'm briefing in the 18th set of revisions to artwork which was previously signed off as finished art I will remind myself that this is one of life's pleasures...

actually, the 24 hour a day open bar at work is one of life's pleasures. And when it runs out you just complain to the office manager and they fill it up again...

And yes its true - PR people don't work for a living. Not like production studios.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Last time I was art director at a big studio they all used to ask - how do you remain so calm dave?
I used to say what? It's only magazines - nobody dies?!?!
Then I'd tell them the Drazen Petrovic story.
