Aaaanyway, what am I playin at the moment? Well not a hell of a lot to be honest. C programing and Laplace transforms takin up so much of my free time and all.

Buuuut, when I do get to spank my Les, it'll be something like Mudvayne, BLS or GnR. A bit of Symphony X, and of course the latest material from my band "Mithril"

None of them particularly well - but working on it.

Popular misconception that Beethoven was all stern and grand pianos. He said 'The guitar is a minature orchestra in itself.'
    He be jammin' mon.

And I envy you guys that can 'feel' the music and improvise. I don't have that gift. I can learn stuff from sheet music like a parrot and by rote - but to be able to hear stuff and play it...sigh.

i can't play for shit but i love it anyway & i'm making a noise. it gives me heaps of satisfaction when i'm in a mellow mood(once or twice a year). sometimes i go on the net find a tab site choose a song that i like & find out the main chords, then i go onto the chord library to see how to make them, a couple times around i go & that's one more song i can play to myself. it's not a serious thing for me, i just enjoy playing simple accoustic shit. my old man was the classic doonga-chick-er always playing at parties when everyone was drunk as... i hope that doesn't upset you purists..
    ..it's another red light nightmare..

My Daughter plays Bass (2 bands) and also mucks around on a steel string accoustic and is very capable at vocals.
One thing for bass players it that there is allways plenty of work for them..
If you love it, let it go. If it comes back to you, you've just high-sided!

Then YOU deserve a kick in the nuts
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods
