i have met some fantastic ppl and made some great freinds ... one was best man at our wedding.

the biggest thing to be aware of, its very easy for ppl to hide behind the screen and fantasize about the type of person they want to be and create a profile around it. But meeting in a public place and getting a sense of how someone is can alert you to the posers, physco's and weirdo's.

on the whole as i have stated in another post, majority of ppl today (yes both men & woman) are not looking for the long term, the non committed bonk seems to be the norm, most are not completely honest with their circumstances.

Its a matter of being being aware, do not trust anyone, and proceed with caution

For what it is worth MadDuck sucked me in with her first post on this thread.
I never even thought it was a piss take, just felt sad for her.
Maybe it's because I have a daughter and I would quite happily kill any bastard that created problems for her.
I think it's really funny that she (MadDuck) sucked me in on the piss take but I felt very defensive toward Scorpygirl feeling embarrassed for having felt compassion and being sucked in too.
We certainly are a strange mix of emotional responses aren't we.
