For what its worth, my mother spent 10 years turning from a vivacious, chatty, and downright nice person to a vegetable who could barely grunt her own name (Alzheimers). Still, shit happens.

do have their uses, they do open up a whole new world and a range of ppl that you may never have met.

met my ex hubby on NZD, pity it did not go the distance, but thats another story.

i have met some fantastic ppl and made some great freinds ... one was best man at our wedding.

the biggest thing to be aware of, its very easy for ppl to hide behind the screen and fantasize about the type of person they want to be and create a profile around it. But meeting in a public place and getting a sense of how someone is can alert you to the posers, physco's and weirdo's.

on the whole as i have stated in another post, majority of ppl today (yes both men & woman) are not looking for the long term, the non committed bonk seems to be the norm, most are not completely honest with their circumstances.

Its a matter of being being aware, do not trust anyone, and proceed with caution
