    The cost of fuel

Just paid for the tickets ,,,, and copped a fuel surcharge , 16 000 yen each thats 48 000 for three

It seems it Quantas and air NZ that are the expensive ones , We could fly via Korea on Korea Airlines , but it worked out to the same price but for different reasons

I never have been shafted by a big GORIILA thats was accidently locked in a Viagra factory.( without the jelly )

But I am getting a good Idea of what it feels like

    Stephen

Thats 66 000 litres of aviation fuel ...I wonder if I bought the fuel myself ??

You think that's bad, just wait til you get here. Helen & Michael have been busy.

16000 Yen= $225 NZD roughly? It does seem excessive for a surchargeon a single fare.

    It's not avgas, it's Kerosene.

You probably tend to buy Jet A1 fuel cheap when you're a large international Airline. The fact is that the cost to produce the fuel is being inflated at every step, from refining to the fuel in the mega-tanker to the diesel in the refuelling truck at the airport.

I was getting a ticket home to Indonesia 5 years ago. Singapore Airlines (which I ended up buying) gave me $1600 return ticket.
What I don't get is that AirNZ is $600 dearer (at $2200)......they share the exactly one same airplane.

And that was same results from 2 different travel agents. Both quotes AirNZ at $600 dearer...........On Da Same Airplane

I'm really trying to resist temptation on saying anything about stewardesses at the moment.......y'know? Things that involve 2 or 3 of them at the same time, preferably.......
