    More Mods

    Hey Guys,

Looking for some accessories for my 05 R6, Like K&N air filter, Crash Bungs and eventually a Power commander. Does any one recommend Cycle threads in AK. Are they a good price? Or in other places i can get some good deals etc. I am based in Hams but travel to AK alot.

    Thanks heaps

P.S Also installing a new Yoshi TRS system this weekend YA

yeah, Cycletreads are good guys, but 2 things (I'd say regardless)
    1) shop around. There isn't many shops in NZ, let alone Auckland, so finding the best price isn't going to be too hard. Equally, if you're gonna get stiffed by one, you'll most likely be stiffed by most of them.
    2) magic word - eBay

ebay is your friend, even online stores overseas,i have spent alot of money modifying my old tls and have bought everything overseas, case in point some idiot was trying to sell TREs (timing retard eliminator) for $200 bucks in NZ,to lazy to make one so got an auto TRE for $46 us incl shipping, there is quite simply more choices and better prices elsewhere.

The auto TRE mod costs less than $4 to make yourself. US$46 is one hell of a premium to pay for a mod that makes no difference on anything other than a GSXR1000 or Busa.

as i say i was to lazy to make one,why do you say it makes no difference to any bike other than the ones you quoted, the tre combined with flashing the ecu with my yosh box has made a hell of a difference,TLS and R are the same as those bikes you mention, ignition is retarded in gears 1/4,a jsd3a tells the bike its in 6th gear were ignition isnt retarded.a strange thing to say i would have thought, fwiw have a look at TLZONE.NET theres an sv forum on there as well,be interested to see what they say when you tell them a TRE is a waste of time on a TL.I would suggest a bit of research before posting illinformed comments on a public forum.
