Will they allow road ridres out on the track or not ?

I'd like to think I'm not going to get in anyone's way but I'm not going up to watch someone else having all the fun.

Im pretty slow and while its a practice day Im not even close to being a racer. Some of you are far more worthy of being out there Im guessing.

My understanding is, it is just a straight manfield promotions run open practice day, so yeah roadbikes are allowed.
I seem to remember you went bloody well in that hill climb, if I hear ya horn, I'll pull over lol

An etiquette guide for road riders sharing the track with racers.... (not directed at Deano personally lol)
    1. Think about your line way before you get to a corner, I've noticed a lot of road riders will swing right at the last moment for a better bite at a left hander (and visa versa for rights) , you are not on the road now and can set up your line from anywhere and you avoid getting a race bike ramming you!

    2. NEVER look behind you once you are circulating on the track. when a racer comes up behind you, we are taking into account the line you are already on and will approach and pass according to that, if we see you look at us it gives us the shits as we then have no idea what action you are "deciding" to take as a result of seeing us there!

Thats about all I can think off for now, just try to be as consistent as you can. Another thing to keep in mind is there is nothing right up close to the track to give you a true sense of speed you are actually going, so be aware of that and don't overshoot corners, esp the hairpin, it is a lot tighter than it looks.

Other racers feel free to add bits and pieces to this thread as the see fit...

I just got my forks back for the 9 and will fit them and some tyres tonight, see ya tomorrow guys and gals!

That's what people told me they were paying?!
Sounds like they could've got away with $80 if that's what was advertised though.

Dunno how that came about as its meant to be winter rates now. Only thing I can think of is it was the day before a car club meeting.

Sunday 2nd of July Open Clubsport Day is the first of the Clubsport days and these are attended by almost exclusively roadbikes. Your gear and bike is checked for a WOF (or it was last year anyway)

I remember a couple of racebike guys almost not being allowed on the track becuase they didn't have a brake light! Ask Martin (Sparky Bills) about why they didn't like his roadbike.

Anyway they run Cars Drifters and Bikes. Alot of loose difters that tend to mess up the track but still good day if the weathers right.
