I had the joy of going through an oil track from a truck/large diesel that had leaked its goodness onto a corner... Lucky i noticed before i hit it and knocked off some speed - i still got sideways and ended up two lanes over from where i wanted to be but luckily still on my side of the road. If i hadnt seen it i would have added more power and leant in more to the corner, probably assed off and ended up facing two lanes of on coming traffic.

It is pretty sad that they need additives. Dunno about my latest MX-5, haven't tried, but the previous one used to do standstills fine. 88kw. That barely qualifies as horsepower in bike language, let along cage. Put a 1 or 2 in front of that and you don't shouldn't need to try. Anyone see Clarkson on Top Gear with the CL600?

I concede defeat. I can't think of any way to get that lit up on dry asphalt... unless it was stolen, and even then the ganstaaaaaaas would need to do their homework.

That's 50m away from Cajun's work. Overall, it is about 1km from the cop station. Just shows how STUPID those boy races are because that is a road with ONE exit. Every weekend for the last six weeks, there is diesel on that intersection (cross roads). They also congregate in the big marina car park just around the road.

Personally, I reckon the coppers should block the road at the exit and impound every vehicle that's there.

I was just thinking that if a cop couldn't have controlled a skid on diesel (and these guys get a lot of training), then what would have happened if a bike had been heading down the road?

Not supporting the dickheads at all, but you gotta admit that the cop was pretty fucken dumb.

I rode through that intersection that night, and I took it very carefully because with everyone gathered round there it was pretty obvious that there was probably deisel dropped. Once out of it I tried clutching it up and the wheelspin confirmed what I'd thought.

Totally agree, now there'll be fucking diesel spread everywhere, not just by the BRAs but by kids that think it'll be funny to see some cars spinning out.
I'd very, very, careful about riding around any built up area for the next few weeks (not that we all aren't anyway!).
