Nah, Two-Smoker is usually on the ball. He might have read the beginning of the thread and not the rest. Not his fault.

I did a yardie of Amstel in France in 28 seconds and the resort record was 12.

I also watched a 15 year old pikey lad do the yard in 40 seconds.

Hahaha yeah mate, I'm all class tui add

The idea is to just take your time and drink it slowly so hence the sipping pipe and the time it takes to go through the burning process etc.

So do you actually light it on the spoon while pouring it over the sugar cubes?

Hmm, pay through the arse for a highly alcoholic spirit then burn off a large portion of the alcohol?

No wonder it was favoured by homosexual french artistes in berets and camisoles.

Sit a sugar cube on top of the spoon over the top of a glass with water in it, poor a shot or two of absinthe over the sugar cube and the set it on fire, as the sugar burns and melts it drips into the water turning it a freaky colour called the "luche" once most of it has melted stir the drink with the spoon and either poor the drink into your sipping pipe or drink from the glass.

A bottle of it costs $55 for the 89.5% stuff and most people can't drink a 3rd of a bottle......A bottle of vodka is about $40 and most people can drink over half a bottle.

    All good mate.

I'm pretty sure you can't buy the spoons or pipes in NZ though. I got a mate to bring mine back from England for me.

I got him to buy them from this place for me..... http://www.seborabsinth.com/shop/pro...=1149736319936
