Yeah, the GSXR 750 looks as good as the 600 but has 20 hp more and only 2kgs heavier than the 600.

Could be keen on one of those.

Look forward to your test on the 750.
If the destination is more important than the journey you aint a biker.

    Good write up Phil.

What I got from that is it's comfortable at 110kph, goes well and the suspension's too soft because you looked at the tyres.

    Well fuck me.

Glad some of you enjoyed the write up, and sorry to the others they didnt think highly of it... I didnt want to go too indepth, and im not the best reviewer or writer or rider by a huge margin...

The rear tyre was peeling up the leading edge of the tread... More pressure in the tyre/more preload/heavier weight spring... any of those could have solved it...

Which did you prefer in looks when you saw it in person, the new K6 or your road-version K5?

(I know this is purely subjective but la-de-da)

Look forward to readin' yours, Your Fastness...that is, if the plebes at large will be deemed worthy of perusing the high quality content you will undoubtedly churn out.

the K6 front, side fairings and tank look awesome and far better than the K5... I prefer the tail and tail light of the K5 as the K6 looks a bit wide...

Had a quick spin on one today. Pity It was wet and no number plate so I had to steer clear of main roads. Definitely slumbers under 6K but comes off idle Ok. Kind of like there's a disguised hole in the power. (after riding a thou on the road I'm probably not being fair. Real track focus with the power and steers real nice. Hard to fathom the compliant suspension but then it again it is no jarring marshmellow like the K4 thou. Brakes heaps better than my K4 thou but then the calipers look very similar to my CBR's and feel the same. Noisey little bugger but smooth as.

Quite a nice machine. Can't wait to give it a thrash round Puke to see how good it really is.

Actually, smartarse, I've written a couple of tests for bike magazines. One of which will be published in a fine and upstanding magazine in upcoming months. And as for plebs reading it, you're more than welcome to shell the tenner required.

I gotta say, I reckon KBers are getting more and more soft as far as taking things to heart's concerned. C'mon boys, harden up.......

For the record, TS knows I'm only jealous of those star spangled leathers.

I took the GSXR750 out for a hoon today.

    I  W A N T  O N E ! ! !

Went through Takapuna, Beach road to try out low speed urban riding, then hit East Coast Rd to Silverdale. Back on 17, Coastville-Riverhead and 16. Roads I know very well as I have ridden them with every bike I have owned.

Just like the 600, it was a sweet ride, but in the city it had no problem taking the urban streets. Blatted around the city for awhile and zipping through the traffic was just a breeze. Took it to the GF's place for her to see and got the evil eye and "Why do you want to buy a new bike when there’s nothing wrong with the one you got?". But she couldn't stop a big smile on her face as she checked it over.

Back at the shop I got the same horrible feeling I got after the GSXR600 ride when I jumped on the SV as it just felt cumbersome.

I only problem I have with the Gixxers is the whiney engine. Some call it a scream, but I call in whiney. Also they feel delicate. Pictures of Gixxer frames snapping in half don’t help either.

When ya taking one out for a ride Two Smoker? I want to hear your impression of the bike.

The only decision now is which color?

    Easy black and yellow

However the reviews below mentioned they had some issues with clutch/transmission.

Usually a peakier bike feels faster.

Can you give me some more insight.
I was on TS' K5 and doing a 1st/2nd run we were staying the same distance apart throughout - Read what you wnat from that, given that I am 20 or so kg lighter than him, but can't ride for shit I imagine that slow throttle response from fully closed may make it feel a touch underpowered below 6k - possibly remedied by running in properly/aftermarket exhaust as on the K5...

"parts for sale" ads in BikeMart don't count

nevertheless, i'll keep an eye out for it and do the old "stand in the shop thumbing through the mag for 10mins" before deciding

Must agree about TS's leathers tho.... Looks like you could do with a few more "roly poly's" down yer street bro!
