    Good luck

I hope you find the van, parked somewhere safely, with the only damage being slightly less rubber on the wheels...

What really pisses me off is that it was most likely stolen for nothing other than a joyride, a quick "power-trip" for a bunch of bro's who have no interest/care for the consequences of their actions, on either them or you. Hell, they probably got a frequent jail flyer card. You'll never get "those" sort of people to give a shit about anything, so sadly a skull cracking is all that could really be done... My only advice, use something heavy and blunt. Good luck.

Hey, I doubt they are experienced OR intelligent, and by the list of things you gave of what you'll be doing I'm SURE you'll come across it and/or them in no time.

    Dave.

PS: I'll lend you a hand if you like, seriously, I'll courier it up to you and you can use it as the blunt object?

will keep an eye out. If they were doing doughnuts and shit it is highly likley that it has been dumped after a night of joy riding. But you never know the intelligence levels of such individuals.

Well if you do catch them give them a good kicking. If they stop breathing kick them some more. Then kick them for all the times that I have vehicles stolen. Fuck then do a burnout on them. Man im going pyscho, I really hate hearing about stuff like this. We all work to damn hard to get stuff stolen. . Im really pissed for ya.

That's good to hear. And I'm glad I read that - on the way home tonight from town, I saw a beat up van, and my heart stopped and I had to look twice. I was really about to get read for an ass whoopin.. but then I noticed it wasn't to be..

Hope they didn't trash it too bad Sudeep..

Firstly, thanks heaps for the support and help! Specially thoes who went out of their way to help me look for the van. Firefight, Texmo, N4CR and others. I meant a lot!

The van was recovered by cops on Monday evening. It was ditched on the side of a road in Manurewa. The discription of the condition just said smashed window. I am hoping that it's just one smashed window that was when they broke into the van and not smashed windows all round after they finished their joy ride.

Since the tow yard is pretty packed full with stolen vehicles in South Auckland, the cops reckon they still haven't had the time to finger print the van for me. So I am still unaware of what's missing and whats damaged as they still won't release it to me.

The van had my Suommy Spec-1R helmet that's worth about $1000 in it and the car JVC MP3/WMA player that was in it. Stupid me, left the face plate in the glove box cause I couldn't be arsed with taking it out of the van. So that's probably gone too. Other than that, I am suspecting some missing speakers, neon lights, gear knobs, spool wet weather glove etc.. Oh yea, and my CD collection that I had built up since the last time they stole my last lot. Fuck it!! I'm not buying no more CD's from now on. I've had it. Only MP3s. Hopefully house and contents insurance might cover some the above. Hopefully..

Anyway, past is past. Now I'm gonna install one hell of a car alarm and I'm never ever parking it on the street side!

    Cheers again.

    Another update on the situation.

I just got a letter from AMI today. It said Dear bla bla (addressed to me), Our client Mr and Mrs X have made a claim for the accident your vehicle was involved in on the 12th of June. I'm like... Huh, me... crash something other than 2 wheels? That's never happened as of yet! (touch wood)

Then I click, the mother F-in low lives stole my van on the 10th and did a hit and run somewhere on the 12th! Luckily I had already made the police report on the 11th so I'll be on the clear.

But now I know that it's not just smashed windows I have to worry about.
