I assume that's because espresso machines run on electricity?

Just heard on TV1 news that some silly bugger fell off an oil tanker as it left Welly harbour. A bit bloody cold for that kind of fun innit? I hope he is found safe & well.

You're most welcome - I had a very nice nap, read a book and had the most relaxing morning in ages - then I went for a ride after a sandwich and perused the latest Kiwi rider till the power came on.
    Carry on.

Seriously, the weather here was shitful - it would have blacked out parts of a large city anywhere in the world.

Yep even after negotiating all the mad traffic with no traffic lights working, in the truck, the ride home on the R1 was even better. And that was ONLY the traffic.

    HAHA so true LOL
Ahh still was a fun day at work - something different for a change.
As for riding to work today in that wind - screw that. Caged in
I still say that this is only just the start of what’s to come with Auckland’s power infrastructure the way it is.

I'm in part of Auckland that wasn't affected today, the whole of the Northshore and West Auckland had continuous power. In Albany where I work we experienced the spikes in electicity in the morning and afternoon but never lost any power, there was a pile of unsent faxes on the desk at 4pm though.

I had friends caught in the traffic jams and family without power until 1pm, it did indirectly affect me, but when i saw the state of the Sth Is on the box tonight i cringed and was immediately thankful for where I am right now.
