I'm sorry if it offends people but the death of al-Zarqawi doesnt really bother me or cause me to celebrate, wereas I'd happily dance in the streets if someone were to drop a 500 lb bomb on Tony Blair or George Bush. I think they are quite possibly the single biggest criminals on the face of the planet today.

I could live with them going to war for oil, if only they'd been honest about it. The simple fact is they lied through their teeth to persuade their countries to goto war. The blood of thousands is on their hands and they didnt even have the balls to tell the public why they were really going to war, my contempt for them is strong.

Lias.. in all due respect.. do you really believe that , in the big picture, this is about a simple thing like oil?.. as i have ben saying FOREVER on here .. the roots of this go WAY deeper than a 'thing'..look at the history of the last 100 years ..Isreal has been fighting them for a thousand years over religion ( no it isnt about land). in the Philipines in like 1913 or so.. they had a similar problem with Muslim extremeists. 1980, Iran.. 1983, Beruit, Libya, the Achille Lauro Hijacking, the first WTC bombing..Somalia, the African Embassy bombings..

... lets just say there has been bad blood betwen the 2 sides for generations .. Bush , Blair, et al are mearly taking a turn at the wheel..

i dont like the way it was all done in places ..the justifications etc, but this was coming for a long time .. bush is a hand puppet, blair is too..

this aint about oil my friend ..

The reality is Sarge is in charge and is pulling Bush's strings from the batcave in Colemans basement.

Mt Roskill mosque is next on the receiving end of an air strike. I saw it scrawled on the back of a suzuki LT50 invoice.

So why did Bush/Blair (Blush?) think that the two countries that are most hated in the middle east would be welcomed as liberators?
The answer is that they don't care, God told them to liberate the holy land. And being full of oil was a fortunate co-incidence?
All the talk of Al-Qaida, foreign insurgents etc is self-serving rubbish. It's the Iraqis that are fighting to free their land from invaders. With a side serving of sectarian killing to achieve power when the Yanks and Poms are kicked out.
    And they will be.

    Sure it would sarge.
What would you do? Nuke Iraq?
Followed by Iran, Syria, Lebanon, all the middle east?
    Russia when they step in?
And do you think China will hold back when they see a seriously weakened US?
    Armaggedon lies on that path.

because the US And GB can financially afford to do what they do..

lets look at this Lou.. how much does sending an army over to a foreign country cost? .. keeping them supplied.. the Vet bennies after a man is killed.. the lost income tax for that man.. the eventual loss of skilled people in the workforce..

all that for a few billion in oil profits .

    makes perfect sense now

Sure do - no question of that. I note the similarity between my sig block and your User Title... we could have plenty to discuss of our own (While Lou and SARGE resolve the Middle East Crises... and the resultant fallout)
