Yeah, more snow to sea level forecast for this weekend!

Ha there's plenty of spare snow around here if anyone wants it

mmm dunno about the weather gods riding hondas but I know it kills batteries in kawasakis after 3 days sitting idle in the shed can't even get the bugger out at the moment.

Basically we were pretty lucky around this area, friends near Timaru are still housebound and people around Fairlie are doing it really hard at present. The road through to Fairlie from Geraldine is still blocked etc.

It could have been worse here, as prior to it snowing we'd had a good dose of rain so it must have snowed fairly hard for it to settle, as it was we got 14inches in 8hrs roughly.

Heres hoping that the forecast weather just keeps to rain to wash some of this stuff away, even though it's turning in a water laden bog.

Ah I love those photos! Takes me back to the days when I was a kid growing up in Ohakune, still I dont know how I'd cope now.... I think its freezing in Wellington. Glad to hear that your OK despite everything!

Good to hear you have got your power back on & you're holding up ok.

Some friends not too far Sth off CHCH have only recently go their power back on too & we suspect a few we haven't heard from are still waiting.
