Ours has been tripping in and out for the last couple of days too. Unplugging it seems to work.

It's the power man, national grid is all over the place and the adsl modems Telecom send as standard are susceptable to power fluctuations.

Any problems, call 0800 22 55 98, but not right now, long wait time, try later.

Just as a stab in the dark. Indy you have had these problems ongoing. Your LAN or wireless card drivers up to date?

Well unplugging it doesn't help. I don't see what LAN or wireless has to do with this?

    Sorry man... but wrong.

No adsl light usually means the customer

    - hasn't turned the modem on
    - modem not plugged into phone
    - using 20m extension cable

and any one of a million other things....

SMC? Not one I'm familiar with.

Just pointing out that there is often something other than 'it's Telecoms network' that can be the answer.
