You softcock, (do as romans do and talk as indians do when talking to an indian :P) we didn't decide until we were at Te Kawiti on the way back. What fun is biking if you know where you'll end up.

    The advanture awaits...

I was on a 250cc and 90% of the way (to Awakino from Te Kuiti) I was held up by bigger bikes, most if not all over 1000cc until the big long straights came!

Then it was bye-bye until the next corner.
Ha Ha ...Swanny that was probably me holdin you up Im a bit slow on the corners but try to make it up on the straights....the bikes sayin faster faster but my brain says slow down ya goin to fast for that corner, hence my user name.Probably the slowest gixxer thou on the road,,wat a waste i know.

Did ya think that maybe they just tryin to tell you something JSG.Ive often heard & read comments about yr dangerous riding style so maybe they just didnt want to be riding so close to you.So maybe you should just stick to riding elephants & stop endangering the lives of fellow bikers just out for a good day & not a race.

some of what people say about him is true, but some as said just out of spite. Never the less, I would ride with him with good spacing between us. We were not trying to shake him off. In hine sight it was probly better for him anyway, as I don't think he had the right gear for the frezzing conditions we encountered on the way back.

Cant say I rode with him either, however if I had issues with another rider Id go and have a chat with whoever it was.

    NO NO NO!!!
Don't start the whole "JSG" thing again!!! Use the 'search' engine, pleeeeease!!

What a day! First proper ride (due to bike being in bits) since the Kawhia ride back in Feb., what a stunning day & turn-out!

Us BOP lot had a few ice-rinks to negotiate on our way to TK (most of it on long, shaded downhill sections...nasty!) but got there sweet as. The clean dry parts of those roads made up for it!

TK to Awakino wasn't terribly special until we got past a couple of tankers. Good fun after that!
The ride back was sweet; turned off at 8 Mile Junction (heading to Taumarunui),then r4q2 took a left off that over some nasty goat track bit of road (nice one r4q2 ) he recommended...

Pretty knackered Sat night, not at all "bike fit"... the snots don't help either..

From what i saw everyone rode (relatively) sensibly, which is always my main worry... Well done

Got some carbon copies of photos the others put up, as well as these:

Goat track? I thought that was one fine piece of road. Notice there was no traffic?

The comment was made by a girl, so it's only right that one backs me up!
