    G'day folks (ausmark)

Hi. Moved over here from Melboune, Aus and brought my bike with me. Haven't had it out much, but managed to get down to Pukekohe last Saturday and went for a few laps in the teaming rain. Ran the wets so that was not so bad except for white lines on start grid. Looks like could be fun in the dry with more bikes to play with, but the end of the front straight?? is bumpy and pot holes were full of water making it difficult in the wet. What's with the crap arse excuse for pits.... no power, and the overhead shelter leaks like a siv???
Anyways, can people recommend other tracks that are worth the hike? How about Taupo?
    Any comments would be helpful.
    Thanks

    Mark

Now that you are here you have to support the All Blacks....
oh and any other team playing against aussie no matter what the sport is.

There are a few tracks around NZ... the guys and gals who ride on them can fill you in on which is the best.

    Ignore the fucktard. ^

There are plenty of racers on this site that will give you info. I'm guessing you were at puke eh just by reading about shittier track etc lol.. yeah ain't the greatest track from what I heard anyway.

Consider changing the title of this thread to 'name the decent race tracks in nz' or something to get racers attention, not always welcoming new members.. hehe. Good luck and welcome to NZ.. Nice bike.

Welcome! Taupo's worth the trip, but bear in mind its got several layouts. Check out http://www.tauporacetrack.co.nz/ for more info. I went along to Kiwifruit's last track day on the full track and it was brilliant, can highly recommend. Pukie isnt a great track (and not overly safe), but at least its handy. I'm still hanging out for this however . . .

Yeah, Gidday mate. Now that you're here enjoy yourself.
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

Thanks. You're a friendly lot eh!

Firstly, markauckland, 6 is pronounced six, and fish and chips exactly as it is written, not fush and chups.... hehehe

Language barrier aside, thanks for the feedback. I don't mind a drive to a good track, and looks like Taupo is definately on the cards. Hell, Phillip Island was 2 hours from my house in Melb, and Winton nearly 3 hours.... not to mention I would drive to Eastern Creek (Sydney) once or twice a year. Maybe that's why I used to clock up so many k's in Aus.

Thanks for the compliments on my bike. You may take them back once you've seen it. Not your average pretty boy's cafe racer with low k's.... mine has over 68000 on the odo, and with the track k's on the race dash is around 75000 in total. Yes they're all mine, I've had the bike since new. Will get a pic for my avatar shortly.

    Cheers

    Mark
