I used to look after a rental fleet of these things,and owned one myself - apart from lard arses breaking spokes and the car licenced drivers producing many spills...the only problems I had were blocked exhausts.At certain times of the year mason bees would also block the exhaust with a clay wad....behind that was a lader of spiders.Apart from contaminated fuel,my first stop would be the exhaust.

Easy test - put your garden hose down the flange end and turn it on - what's the flow rate?

right i have done the water flow test and seems to all right the onle thing is at the end of the muffler (where it has been welded up) there is a crack about 5cm long and about 3-4 mm wide would this have some thing to do with the running not so well of my engine? also a was just riding it and its getting bad. when i open the throtle it just bogs, but sometimes i can get ti running but only to about 20- 30 km/h and then it bogs, i think its got something to do with the air/fuel mix, when it bogs its like its not getting any air or fuel. iam going back out to the shed after i have posted this to have a look at the carb thanks johnnie
o and i have another muffler but it has a crack in the pipe (not the muffler but the pipe) would this muffler be beeter?

my dad told me you get it from the supermarket for about 5-6$$ so i will get some tomorrow, do i just pour it down the pipe and is that it or is there more to it than that?
