Internet geeks... html, CSS and fonts

    compare www.kellylane.co.nz/home.htm

    with www.rainreviva.com.au

Different font - it's buried in there somewhere and I want it. I guess it's in a style sheet.

How do I find out what font the .com.au site is using?
    How/where do I install it
How do I make it active (default) on my kellylane pages?

    Ta muchly

    More:
have this line for your default css file as the 'body {' definition..

A good place to learn about css is at www.w3schools.com
    Its well worth it.

Yeah I had a look the same way I stole the KB stylesheet for an assignment at uni by viewing the page source, but missed it, wouldnt it be better to have it thier way and linked to a site instead of having it on every page?

    Linking is much better. Using:
    < link href="home.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" >
    Line in the header section.

note: syntax not quite right to get to display in thread.

skelstar is right linking is better than including

if it fucks up in different browser you'll have to use @import instead

I'm not sure if I should be concerned by knowing exactly what all that means.

Just been looking round that site - what happens if your tank runs dry? It mentions that it shuts down the pump if there is no water coming through to it, but then you got no toilets . . .

Nice looking site BD. Always wanted to use flash more but some of my mates are principled anti-flash nazis and refuse to use my site. Besides its tricky having html-php-mysql-flash behaving (well it is for me as I dont kow how to do it).

Thanks - I've read all the 'flash is evil' stuff - and i just don't buy it.

But I do think rrcl site is a bit fat at the mo - my process is to give it all the bells and whistles then subjectively subtract.

It is tough to get the hang of flash at first - but when the penny drops - it's fun in a geeky kinda way.

My favourite is still the front page at www.motomail.co.nz - whose online shop is done and live very shortly
