Sorry no offence, but did you miss the whole - I'm on stupid learner's and can't get anything bigger than 250 and will pay outrageously high prices on 250s...
I have deep pockets. It's just that it's a deep empty pocket...........

yet another reason why i'm still considering whether to go to a 250 after my 170, or just something in the 'cheaper/bigger' price range..

I don't see why anyone would buy a 250 in NZ unless they had to... Hell I know if I had my full I would be getting a 400 or something that's cheaper than a 250... I decided I can't wait a year and a half though..... Just got a call back from bank too saying the loan is approved!!! Yeah! now I have to go find myself a new bike....

I'm gonna be saving money till the end of the year (from next week), and with the sale of my bike, should be able to get myself something 'quite a bit better' than what i've got at the moment..
If you're getting a bigger bike than your licence 'allows', HP might not be the best option, cause if the bike gets wrecked/stolen etc, Mr. Insurance might decide 'you don't deserve any of my money cause you're not on a full licence' and then you'd be in uber-debt as opposed to just being bike-less..

Agreed. I have no intention of gett a bigger than 250 bike especially seeing how often I get pulled over (even when I didn't do anything wrong, they just always pull me over to check my licence, etc.... grrrr)

I was under the impression that you had your full that's all.

Hees a wee pic for those who are interested. And thanks to those of you who actually HAVE A CLUE about the value of solid 250cc bikes. it simple supply and demand. like i said, go to a big shop and pay up to 7or 8 grand for one with more k's than this.

Haha they were probably still making them back then. Huge gap in the market now. Wish I could by a 2006 CBR 250. Dreams are free.

from what i could tell, even the hyosung is better.. they're pretty much the same price, except the 250ninja still looks like the 'very old' 250ninja, and what's with inline twin? what happened to the screaming 4's?

But have you ever seen the finish on a Hyosung?? What's with the panel fit? I thought maybe the ones in NZ are total and utter shite, but no, after looking on bikepics.com they're all like that. Don't think I could trust the rest of the bike after seeing how shitty the fit of the body work is!

/edit: Fairs fair though, they're brand spankers for the price of a worked over cbr250!
