    Arrow Bollox.

There is no such thing as a wrong opinion, there are just differences in opinion. At the end of the day its not the difference of opinion thats the problem, but how people react to it. Some people need to look at themselves? Gee thats a surprise...

Some people will fight to ensure that you can express your personal opinion... But only if they agree with it. Judging from this forum, it must be a common trait among so called "progressives".

If you disagree, fine, but tell me, don't sit and pick holes in my argument.

Spam, spam, spam, egg, and spam
    That's pretty ridiculous.

'Sniper, I disagree, you're wrong', is ok, but "picking holes in arguments" is not?

In my view, the main purpose of those debatey-type threads *is* to pick holes in others' arguments, revealing logical fallacies and and factual innaccuracies, so that people consider their previously held thoughts.

If this doesn't happen, all you get is two people saying to each other "I disagree with you, but I'm not going to attempt to show you how are incorrect". Thus the afforementioned logical fallacies and and factual innaccuracies are allowed to perpetuate. How stupid is that?

I could rant about this much longer, but I'm sure you all appreciate succinctness in a rant.

Jamezo, you are a character are you not..... I love the big words and Im sorry that it takes me so long to figure out what you are saying, but I didnt knuckle down at school as hard as you obviously did...

Or maybe you dont know how to KISS?

Whatever it is, you might be trying to intimidate me or confuse me so that I may trip up and say something completely irrelevant like I did in the other thread. Whatever it is mate, you are wasting your time with me.

EDITITY EDIT: Oh yea and this is where my point comes in Jamezo. You gave me your opinion and reason for it. I disagree..... Fullstop.

What does he mean, "stinkness" in a rant?

Cute, cute. With no disrespect to you, I express mirth at your description of my formal manner of writing as so many 'big words'.

Intimidation and confusion do not have a place in my debatory (I made a word up, sue me.) arsenal, nor should they in anyone elses. Just plain ol' logic always suffices if you actually know what you are talking about.

With regard to your last statement, can you demonstrate where A) I have taken anything personally, or B) you pulled my 'opinions' apart? I don't know if you actually read my above post, but I was making a point that people hiding behind 'being entitled to an opinion' are too frequently allowed to get away with being just plain factually and logically wrong.

Factually wrong I can understand. But logically wrong??? If something makes sense to me but not you doesnt make it wrong. It means we need to find an alternate ground so that we can both understand.

And no I wont sue you. Making up words is a tradition of KB.

OR just get over it and move on. Its only the internet and while I really value KB it is only the internet, anyone can be who they want to be... "Real" life is what really matters at the end of the day, is it not?
