    Excellent Feed - Rotorua

I had the pleasure of heading to Rotovegas this weekend for a bit of a break. Saturday night, got a bit hungry as you do, and saw a sign outside Henneseys Irish Pub in central Rotorua advertising a good feed and a Pint for $10. Thought, hell yeah, why not. Went back with my cousin, his girlie and my wife, and probably had one of the best dinners out in ages. Food was birlliant and plentifull, and the presece/atmosphere of the place with the decor and Irish bar was good value. I higly recommend trying this place if you are out that way. I recommend the chicken burger as that is what i had, but the Bangers and Mash is supposed to be good too, plus you get the pint and some veges as well.

The words "pleasure" and "Rotovegas" in the same sentence? A big trailer park with geysers. Home of "Knock-me-up Barbie" and "Hoodie Ken".

My thoughts exactly. I had to go there on Wednesday, and thought it made Carterton people seem normal.
Grumpy bunch too. Only the bloke in the Post Shop in Nongotaha had more than a grunt to offer. For a tourist town??? the service I had was 1 out of 10. Or it could just be me! The staff at McDonalds may have guessed that I was only there to befoul their toilet. If any of you stumbled onto that scene afterwards, please accept my apologies. The lining on your nose will self-repair in no time, and the mental scars will fade over the years.

Ah, so you were having a McShit were you? Or was it a McShit with lies? (Where you claim to be buying something when you've been to the toilet if challenged.)
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!

True: The people I went to see were good people. Just a comment on how I found the service industry. I stopped at Supercheap (lol) a petrol station, sports shop and a middle level eatery, and the service was crap. I don't expect millionaire service, but I don't expect to be treated like crap either.

PS: I did buy a coffee at McDs. A "McShit with lies" would have been a better option, as the coffee tasted like what I had left for the cleaner.

Bummer about the bad service. Over the past few years I have seen this town go downhill. I always lived in the country 'til about 6 months ago when I moved back into the family home in suburbia. We used to know all the neighbours & were even good friends. Now we have mm on one side & bp's accross the road...further up the road it looks like something from Once Were Warriors. I think it all started when gubmint sold off the state housing and the evil spread....but that's another story There are 3 gas stations I will never set foot in again for poor service and 2 bike shops. Ya get good & bad in any town though....maybe just a few more bad in this hole. But Hennessey's is ALL GOOD! Nice friendly service!

Good onya for taking the McShit with Lies...that's all they're good for!

ps: It's not full moon time already is it? Can hear neighbours having another domestic *Turns up the music.

At least you have a choice. We have one petrol station and no bike shop.
