Red face About little old me (temporaryOZ)

    Well G'Day.

I'm not new to bikes, have had a few, but would consider myself something of a re-born virgin to biking, have been riding now for 3 months after a 11 year break.

I ride a GSXF 600, Katana, 2006. Which despite the reviews, is actually not that bad, I like it. Will upgrade in the next 6 - 12 months, to what? Jury is still out on that.

I'm in Papakura, and a part time dad, but love to get on the bike and go for a blat whenever I don't have the kids.

Not much else to say, but, keen for a ride, know bugger all people (ie.none) that own a bike, so don't hold back, fancy a cruise let me know.

    Cheers

Plenty of fun to be had here and on the road. Plenty of KB'ers and organised to get to know some people too. There's a bit madness and a bit of debauchery but all in all a good bunch.
    Welcome.

    Thanks for the welcomes!

Nah, I work in Penrose, and commute to Papakura (or the other way round perhaps).

Can be spotted attempting to weave traffic most week days around 8:30, or over heating most evenings around 5:30.

Great site, gunna go for the ride on the 8th, meet a few peeps.

I see there is an organised ride out west then into the city tonight, is it only westies that go for mid week jaunts?

    Welcome temporaryOZ....
I have a '98 model, it has been very reliable & handles well. But like you I can't decide what to upgrade to next....

Yeah, I think I'm leaning towards a GSXR 1000, from all the reviews, they are the bike to have, for speed and performance, but the thing is, thier headlight setup is ugly! I prefer the look of the blade and ninja, but, are looks everything??????

I am also quite fond of the Triumph 955i, has anyone got any comparitive experience with them?
