Not only did I vote, I ran a private campaign. I talked to staff about what they felt were the real issues facing NZ and showed which party would best look after their interests.

I managed to change several people's vote and fired the rest.

I'm suprised that anyone in Gore would vote labour...

At a wild guess, something to do with tax comparison between NZ & Aussie tax rates (was on the news tonight).

How bout the fact that an Australian financial institution has released a report stating that at least 99% of NZers would be better off tax wise if they worked in Oz.

Officially, if you earn over $180k a year, tax situation is better in NZ (there you go Finn, a reason for ya to stay in NZ, well compared to Oz anyways)

Think you'll find the Labour Party here is a bit different to what you're used to. Having said that, they have many similarities other than their name.

True-but there manifesto's and ideals are extremely similar, which certainly doesn't make me a happy person. I never agree with a nanny and income support system, only f*ckwit lefties have this view... I grew up in The Thatcher era in UK, our armies had never been so busy

Seriously though - there is no room for romantic Robin Hood theries - it's all hog sh*t. If they can't earn it, then ya cant have it (using your social economic standing as an excuse is a joke tbh) -GET OFF YA LAZY ARSES AND GET A JOB. Its evolution people - 2nd is the first looser, hand outs from the government are frowned upon by good hard working tax payers.

    Anyway enough of my ranting...............
