Be sure and do that - if an engine can be destroyed by putting mothballs in th petrol then I would rather it was not mine....

i recon it would be more accurate if you took 2 of the same car, brand new of the ship, get a good garage to tune the cars exactly the same. then fill both cars up with say $20, and then idle them both at 4000 rpm, and see which one runs out of gas first

They Mythbuster tested it.. the only thing that would blow up an engine was putting bleach in the oil.. pretty much nothing in the petrol 'made it go boom' and the mothballs you could hear a 'vroom vroom' style change in the engine..

they won't do that, because Shell have paid a lot in advertising that their petrol lasts longer.. could you imagine the negative publicity when they lose?
