    Pack rack fitting...Help

    Hey there,
just purchesd a brand new second hand pack rack for my RF,
not sure if its missing something, or whether i am, but,
i cant seem to find anywhere to attach it to the rear,
it must have more than two bolts holding it on....

So wondering if anyone would be kind enough to point me in the right
direction,or maybe put a picture of theirs up.
Ive looked everywhere and cant seem to find instructions
    or picts anywhere.

    Thanks in advance,
    ED.

check out the ventura web site might be instructions there or an email address that you could ask them to send instructions to.

On my SV I had to take off the seat and drill two holes thru the under guard from below to match two existing bolts in the subframe. (I drilled pilot holes from above to make sure they were in the right place).

There were a couple of 40mm long extender thingies that then bolted to the subframe from below thru the holes in the guard that I drilled. Then the front of the L Bars bolted to the existing top rear bolt, of the pillion foot peg mount bracket. There were 2 flanges on the L bars that then bolted to the extender thingies. Clear as mud huh? see if you can get a manual....

Just not to sure about drilling holes through stuff untill i find out for sure,

You mean the rear bolt on the passenger footrests ...........

I'm assuming the setup for the ventura racks are generic, so you should have the following:
    packrack
    left support arm
    right support arm
bracket for rear under the seat fitting
allen bolts x 2 with nuts

Its the rear under seat bracket, that im haveing a problem finding a home to bolt it to.
The one I have is a straight tube, with two curves comeing off it about one third in from each end faceing each other.

ok dude just talked to a mate who had a RF.

It's a mission to get that rear bracket on apparently.

Pretty much have to remove the rear underseat plastic fairings to get the bracket in. There are existing bolts that the bracket will fix to near the rear tail light. It's just a matter of removing the rear stuff to fit it...........hope that helps...........

Definately wait for the instructions. Took me an hour to get mine on the Speed Four, thats WITH instructions and not having to drill any holes.

Someone commented the other day why I leave the arms on there. Its because its a pain in the arse to take them off!

Nothing ventured nothing gained, I'm sure once all the rear plastics are removed it will all fall into place..........
