Sheep, or Pigs On The Wing, I can't remember which 'cause it all just melts together, but that whole Animals album is a masterpiece.

Fuck it. Its all good. I don't think there's a single album or track that really stands out from the rest, really.

Any way, thanks for that Gareth, I'm going to have to drag the old vinyl out now.

My missus is going to be so pissed off with you....

    Arrow Few come to mind.

Dogs of War I allways enjoy and also Run like Hell.

I think The Wall had one or two reasonable tracks, but mainly the album was a piece of Roger Waters' self-indulgent crap. And The Final Cut was even worse.
I really like the last two Floyd albums (plus the live ones, esp. Pulse), but Animals still rates best in my book. Favourite song? Probably Pigs (3 different ones).
But then Echoes was pretty good.
    And Dogs.
    And Us And Them.
    Etcetera.

Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they are afraid it might be true. People's heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true ... they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so all are easier to fool." -- Wizard's First Rule

    Yup Motus got it..
"Great Gig In the Sky" & "Time" are my favourites.
Basicly anything Pink Floyd is really good. I hear it a lot around my home now, some 30 years later as my 15 Yo daughter, a Bass player, just cant get enough of anything written by Roger Waters who himself played Bass. I guess my signature says it all.

If you love it, let it go. If it comes back to you, you've just high-sided!

The Wall - for a really odd reason...

I always liked it - I play guitar (a little) and the riff in The Wall sounds GREAT turned up, dark room - big speakers... and you just bathe in the sound... wonderful.

Anyway - I was working at a Power Station (Stratford in case anyone wants to know), as a fitting apprentice and everything was turning and burning as it does through the winter. Nothing to do - so I whip over and help the techos.

Lesson one - here's a soldering iron, lesson two here's a capacitor... etc

One of the lessons was the Ocilloscope (the "Silly Scope")... and how does it work? Well the signal goes in here, appears on the screen as a mess then you twiddle these knobs, change this and that and voila - a nice clean line you can measure, watch and make it move.

The signal chosen? Mono headphones jack on the radio in the workshop.

The song playing? The Wall... and wouldn't ya know it... that riff kicked in while I watched it on screen.

    SWEET!

(Also like Learning to Fly... but just coz it sounds good)

I haven't got any Floyd after The Wall, the later stuff couldn't hold my interest.I was very disapointed in Wish You Were Here when it came out,it seemed like it was just tossed together to get an album out because of the record company contract. Now it's one of my favorite albums....kinda like '80's music,I hated it at the time, but it's not so bad now.I've always liked Obscured By Clouds, not many seem to have it,but there is some great stuff on it.

Brain damage. Sums me up well and reminds me of high school.
Shine on you Crazy Diamond. The full version. Just awesome.
Comfortably Numb. Great song for a funeral and awesome Gilmour guitar brilliance.
