Thats a hard one... "get your filthy hands off my desert", the jet fly past give me a hell of a fright when I heard it for the first time.
Any Pink Floyd is good, turn it on, sit back, and relax into the haze![]()

1. Sorrow
2. Hey you
3. Learning to fly
4. On the turning away
5. One of my turns
Those are my favorites but I like pretty much all of their songs. I think I'll put them on now
Atom Heart Mother
Skyryder
Free Scott Watson.
Have a Cigar.
I can not pick one track. Pink floyds albums are one big track and need to be heard in a constant stream. In saying that i cant even pick one album! its all so great
In saying that, i have been thrashing the hell out of my copies of Ummagumma and Delicate sound of thunder lately
There is no dark side of the moon, really, as a matter of fact. Its all dark...
Comfortably Numb
But there are several among the lot you guys mentioned that could equal it on different days.
I was just about to type something very similar.Originally Posted by froggyfrenchman

Hard to pick just one but "Wish you were here" and "On the turning away" come immediately to mind.
Comfortably numb has a kick arse solo, but my favourite track is probably Young Lust.
What an amazing group they were.
These spring to mind;
- Time
- One of these days
- Julia dream (oldie but don't know what album)
- There's no way out of here (oldie but " ")
I'm surprised how many liked The Wall. I think it was always made with the theatric angle in mind rather than the music. I remember the anticipation as a teenager waiting for that hyped up 'best yet' album to be released, only to be disappointed. First impressions were; oh shit they did a group effort with Gary Glitter, Abba, Bucks Fizz and Bay City Rollers.
Some great lyrics spread across all their works though. Always like this one in Animals, which to me described a lot of overweight bosses I've known over the years that smoked and drunk too much and got off on the 'I'm the big boss' powertip;
It's too late

you used to think
you used to need
