    yea.. im a resident Oscar.. but heres MY take on this ..

    i was not born here.. i cannot apply for Citizenship here (various reasons).. i have no real long term commitment to NZ as a country.. why should i have the PRIVILAGE of helping to shape your future?

    look, Mr Oscar spelling police, I have lived in qute a few countries as a Palangi, Buleh or Auslandisch and have felt the lash of Xenophobia many times. And one thing I learnt was that I didn't understand the full history and background of many issues within any country and that listening was a lot better than having a loud and critical voice.
    If you love it, let it go. If it comes back to you, you've just high-sided!
