Soft cocks, I'm riding down tommorrow night on my race bike with no lights, slick tyres, and tools/bag/generator tied on my back. Riding suit will consist of race jandals and alpinestars swanny.

If I start getting tired I plan to jump in one of those mountain streams to freshen up.

gizzy hit by flooding SH2 between Junction SH2 and SH5 (near Whirinaki) and Wairoa closed landslips ... naki still best way to come a this time .. so far .. fingers crossed

Naki is all good .. boys have arrived at some ungodly hour .. but road is all sweet .. trip roughly 8 hours

We're in Taupo, all the roads south are closed except New Plymouth so we'll be heading back up the road a bit before wandering south.

weather just south of feilding is drizzling, patches of blue showing through, no wind (yet) cold but not freezing ..
