Motocross rider injured at Kaingaroa

A 40-year-old man was flown to Rotorua Hospital yesterday with suspected spinal injuries after he was thrown from his bike at a Kaingaroa motocross event.

The Tenon rescue helicopter was called from Rotorua when the man from Atiamuri, near Tokoroa, came off his bike.

Paramedics spent about 30 minutes stabilising him before he was flown to hospital.
