A quiet amble in the country.

Ive been getting cabin fever. saving every spare penny for next seasons racing.Enough was enough and this morning Ijust couldnt take it anymore.
A quick trip up to Mangawhai was in order.
Cold but dry all the way up SH16 with the ol CBR just humming away under me.Keeping it semi legal all the way to Wellsford. Onto the Mangawhai road for a 25km workout. An endless series of good windeys.Onto mum and dads road for 7km of mud skating (deep sloshy gripless mud). Yeeha
Stopped for a cuppa at mums house. Off onto the slush pit for another 5km of mud--the cbr seemed to be straining a bit-the front mudguard had jammed full of mud n little rocks. Stopped at mangawhai shops and with a hose and a bit of wire I got the mud cleared out. Time to head home??-- Nope Still wanna ride some more
Off again and carried on up the coast aways. Nice windey roads and bugger all traffic.
Gas up and keep heading north.Up over to Kaitaia.Down the west side to Dargaville and Im starting to feel a bit tired.Heck of a headwind out of Dargaville.Easy ride to wellsford and stop for dinner.Dark and cold the ride back down 16 was made interesting by a bit of a diesel slick dumped on an uphill right hander.
Home cold tired but a bit less fevered

To see a life newly created. To watch it grow and prosper. Isn't that the greatest gift a human being can be given?
