thanks Pritch and Inlinefour, for the tips and also escourt to NP.
Justsomeguy pulled out last min and NZ Liam and me was game, so we took off towards NP and went around the big mount on the upper road (I think). Got home 850km later (round trip) and just right on 12pm (when my bike turns back to a pumkin :P) (well thats what the fairies tell me). Rode thru some interesting thick thick fog past the waikato region up to the bombays. Wasn't exactly fun so next time might plan to avoide the "fog". Note: great headlights on the CBR954. 1 x 55W low beam and 2 x 55W high beam can be brought online a the flick of a button. Still... headlights that point where you look would be a great idea thou (remembers the idea).

Got to know the 954 well thru the 850km of road in all conditions. And some sort of adjustment to the suspension will be in order. It is interesting of note that I didn't have any sort of leg cramps on the CBR... funny hur...

My lower back is reminding me that I had been riding a sports bike for the last 8~9 hours, and a slightly numb bottom. Apart from that its all good, not bad considering I am a bit down on my riding fitness and also riding a bike that I am still getting used to.

couldn't resist posting a photo.... still buzzing from the day!

oh and stats for the day was about 93km/h moving average from a GPS... think its up to Grand Challange pace right? maybe NZ Liam can provide the final stats and any interesting data from the GPS tracking log

I was never in as I believed you were going to stay the night at some town and head back later on Sunday.

If I'd known you'd be riding non-stop then I would have definitely joined the two of you.

mate... do as romans do. So, perhaps you should look at yourself using other's standards, might give you an idea why people don't approve and why they get on your case?

You've seen me ride more than most - yesterday apart from one occassion with Dover I made sure I took my time before doing anything.

Since you know me personally I know - that you know - I don't mean any harm to these people and wouldn't do anything to that effect.

For 99% of the time yesterday I was by myself with no bikes around me. I know what I did and didn't do.

Any of you wanting to kick up a shit storm can do so. Lets see how many of the usual suspects resurface - that man(no names necessary) has started his red rep abuse again, I thought he was leaving KB.

Well, maybe sAsLEX should explain his comments then, specially when given & taken positively it might help to improve your riding in other's eyes. The point is that no one is perfect, with the number of riders we had on the ride I can say there are points that some can improve on too.

I've sent him a PM. Fucking hell --

I think I should go to bed now........I'm starting to see red again........It's one thing if I was being a bastard - it's another thing if I made some effort at behaving myself.........

    Good Night.

    Who cares peoples!

I never once saw JSG on the road on Saturday.

If he passed me in such a manner which forced me to take evasive actions I'd bash him at the next fuel stop (he might have a faster bike, but sure as salt and vinagar chips can't beat my fuel mileage).

I get abused on a regular basis through the rep system and none of those responsible will ever face up and walk the walk. Making comments over the internet should be a thing of convenience, not a way to hide/mask yourself from direct retaliation.

thanks guys... its getting OFF topic. if someone is making accusations I expect them to back it up, if its for shits and giggles then they are making it too serious for that.

JSG, word of advice. Sometimes talking less is better than talking more. E.g less fodda for the shit heap

From what Im used to, if someone has an issue then they goto talk to whoever was involved. Not get all pissy on the internet...
Those who insist on perfect safety, don't have the balls to live in the real world.

Riding on the wrong side of the road approaching blind crests and corners, I saw one bit where you were lucky to not get hit by a car JSG, I was behind you for a bit south of TK as you came past on the straight whilst everyone was cruising, to get to a position in the group that was well outside your ability/knowledge of the road. I laughed when you passed Sensei as we had slowed for possible ice but hey your the road king mate! (he then took you up the inside a corner or three later)

So maybe next time on a group ride dont rush to the front to try be cool, settle mid field and IF you are being held up then pass but dont rush past whilst eveyone is cruising it just ruins the point of riding 300k to get to some twisties.

EDIT thanks mate !! Attention Naki Sheep... 3rd July 2006 14:07 justsomeguy You really need to get your facts straight first instead of trying to throw shit around just cos you can.

I do have the facts straight as I saw it with my own eyes, enough people on here have commented on your dangerous riding yet you still dont seem to want to listen, good luck with living out the year.

Can't comment on who rides badly or not.. as all you buggers had left us in Te Kuiti with two People with tyre punctures..

Was only slightly disappointed everyone had left and not stayed for the two guys getting tyre punctures repaired.. would have only delayed the ride by 10 minutes. Anyway, I rode with them to ensure they didn't have anymore mishaps.. was a nice ride with three bikes to meet up with the group at awakino pub
You can't fight sleep.. if you feel tired, stop and rest!
