I think I was about tyrewarmers.co.nz's second customer as Phil had told me about the site an given me a password to access it before it went live. This is a site run by Vic club members to bring you quality tyrewarmers and other stuff at extremely good prices.

I had been wanting to get some tyrewarmers for some time and now was an ideal time with the Vic winter series just starting. I wanted the best quality I could afford so went with the tyrewarmers.co.nz branded product. This is my first set of warmers but I have looked at what else is available and there some good warmers out there and some not so good.

Tyrewarmers have to heat the entire surface of the tyre evenly to a controlled temperature. The best way to do this is to have alot of heating element and make sure it wraps all the way around to the edges of the tyres. These warmers do just that.

There is a neon that goes out when the thermosat switches off when the tyres have reached temperature and turns back on when they cool and the heating switches back on.

I thought they would be hard to fit and remove but they are very easy and the drawcord means you can really get them to hug the tyre closely.

These warmers have had about 5 outings now. Two testdays, the Two Vic club rounds, and the Harris training day and I'm very happy with them. Its so good to go hard out first lap knowing that your tyres are going to be gripping the track like glue.
