Fantastic day ...thanks BlackAdder for organising it.

Glad to hear you ok Oz. Damn impressive to watch you take on that truck. The truck driver stopped down the hill.

The peps that stopped for you in case you hadnt guessed it were...Mike_L, Patch, Sparky and of course the MadDuck. I was just so impressed with the weeds in your helmet....and when Patch suggested I do some weeding I nearly feel over in laugther but it wasnt the right time !

I must say I was kinda surprised to be blitzed by a bike cop on the way down to Autobahn. I am sure he was playing with me. Sirens on as I didnt see him behind me.

    Re the Truck.

Impresive, I guess it is quite impresive to see how truely stupid the human mind can be at times!

Oh well, thankfully can live not to do it again.

I tracked down the driver of the truck today and spoke to him. Appologised for being a prat and acknowledged that I was a complete air head to be doing what I did when I did. He was really good about it and I think I managed to at least rescue his image of bikers.

Once again thanks to those that assisted, I think I'm going to try stop talking about it now and just chalk it up to experience.

Talking Missed the ride - sounded good too.

I thought Christmas had come early when I first read about your upcoming event on 8th July - that was my 36th birthday, I just got into bikes 3 months ago (so I do still push it round corners) and I only moved to NZ a year and a half ago - living near Howick. Sounds as though some like minded people got together. Unfortunately I was in the South Island that day otherwise I would have grabbed the opportunity to make you all look good and pick up some riding hints from folk who wouldn't laugh at me for too long.

Consoled myself with a wee spin to Piha today with a 30 year old friend....he did wait for me....occasionally.

I will watch this space for future events - hope you plan something like it again.

    All the best,

    McJim
