oh you baaaaaastard!!!!!
VH or VJ? E38, 48 or 49?
Whats it in for?
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

seeing the Hemi sticker on the side reminds me of the HEMI Underglass 'A rolling research vehicle' drag car I saw in the UK at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. This thing has glass plates in the floor and is steered by independent breakes for each back wheel. This is becuase it does the quarter mile on its back tyres with its nose several feet in the air. It really does have to be seen to be beliveed.
E49 hemi was probably the highest output non turbo/supercharged 6 cylinder.
I worked for a Chrysler dealer for a while in the 70's, the boss had an E49 and shit it was a goer. Later on they traded an E48 (VJ) from the Mormon church of all places, it was nice but it didn't have the power of the 49er. One thing the E48 did have was the "Track Pack" option which included a 35 gallon gas tank in the boot - wouldn't like to be filling that these days

It's an E48,the triple Weber one.I remember when we were putting it back together and were trying to bleed the brakes - we were pouring heaps of fluid into it and getting lots of air but stuff all fluid at the bleed screws, then found the front rear brake pipe is inside the car - it had a hole and we must of had a couple of litres of brake fluid swimming inside.I've given up trying to tune it - I'm not interested spending all day twiddling 6 mixture scews.
It's been raining today and the chick from his office came down to pick it up - she got well out of shape booting it out of the corner!

The E48/E49's - my teenage dream car....
what's one worth now, if you could even get one.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.
- James Dickey, Cherrylog Road.
up untill not so long ago the E49 was still the fastest Aussie car over the 1/4 mile.
And 6-7 (maybe more)years ago a Charger won the endurance race at Ruapuna, running against all the later Commodores,Falcons etc
All i have to say is HATE YOU!
I love old school cars like chargers or old falcons...![]()
Ahhh,You really know how to rub it in huh.
My ma' in law is still laughing.
Reminds my of a country that I saw on one of the travel programs on TV. They dont allow imports to be brought into the country at all (new or old (nor bikes either)). All the cars were all so old, None of them where New....
Not many E49s in Cuba, matey
