Oh, to find out what it really was after getting into real bikes. Gutted. The Heads-Up Display was rad, man!
Just this one time though, the cage was way cooler. KITT could talk back.

At least now we know where the makers of Torque got their idea of re-badging bikes from...

The bike itself was a modified 1983 XL500 from Honda, which was used in the pilot. For later episodes an XR500 was used with 11 1984 Honda XCR250's used for stunts.

300mph on a Honda XR500, ya gotta love the 80's.

I can't say I remember the show even after watching the intro. I saw an episode of Knight Rider a while back when I was home sick that was set around a pro-mx race. It was hilarious.

My favourites included Logan's Run, The Goodies, The Omen series on the Sunday Horrors. The mini-series fad was cool too, Roots.

TVNZ had a few beauties also, Peppermint Twist anyone?

Not child of the 80's, but I'm still a child at heart.
In the beginning, there was nothing. Then the Lord said: "Let there be light"...

Two things wrong with knight rider.

First and most important, it's a fucking cage.

Second and most horrifying, it has the hoff.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

Hate it when the good guy hares off the highway into the desert after the baddies on his Harley (or Triumph in some cases) and in the next off-road shot it turns into a 'trailie' painted up in the same colours as the good guys road bike....argh!
