...almost. I just sold my crappy old nifty fifty scooter and am currently saving for a bike most likely the gn250 as I'm on a tight budget and am 15 so can't really work full time. But I'm looking forward to getting my bike and license aswell as all the protective gear ofcourse.

i used to own a gn bloodey awful thing i thought itll be great to start out on after a week i was bored with it..

if i was you i would start off with an fxr...

because when you want to upgrade later like i did going to a sportsbike from a gn i had to throw out everything i knew about the way i rode and start over because the gn is so different from a sportsbike it was ridiculous..

then ive ridden an fxr round a race track and on the road... alot faster and actually corners like a sportsbike.... and it is really easy to flick into corners being so light it just goes through with ease great for a learner

so yeah stay clear of the gn and get yourself a suzuki fxr 150

can pick a pretty good one up for around 1500 if you look around... and they are gaining in value so you won't loose much money when it comes time to upgrade if anything you will make money

I don't remember ever passing anyone on the highway on mine but then again, I would have had Mrs Oakie on the back and you can only ask so much of a single cylinder 150cc bike. Reasonable on the highway if you're not in a hurry. So I suppose, cruise ... yes, pass ... well ... probably safe to pass tractors and Harleys only.

FXR 150s rock!!
I had mine up to 150 with a huge mate on the back.
May have taken ages to get there, but it did it. Of course wind speed may well have been a factor...
8 seconds 0 to 100, better fuel economy than a GN250 (if I recall rightly) handles bloody brilliantly, and not too shabby on the power stakes.

Look good, sound good, go good, what more could you ask for??

I would happily buy another, just to have in my garage. They are that good.
On a bad day mine would top out about 146, on a good day, near on 160!! (downhill)

Cheap on tyres, consumables (except fairings stickers)

I'd go the way of the FXR all over again.
