    And Yet Another, Hiyas (BuzzbomB)

Hi everyone. I've been lurking around the site for a couple of months now and have really enjoyed reading the posts. Been on the RS250 for about 4 yearsnow and every ride is just pure lust.

I'd really like to meet up with some KB'ers for a ride some time. I'm usually busy on weekends with my son but tomorrow is one of the rare times I have a weekend day to myself so if anyone is keen to go for a ride with a site newbie let me know, I'm in the Puhoi area.

Welcome! You've got one of my favourite sports bikes! Having had it four years, you'll be in a good position to comment on it's reliability! How's it been to own?

    How cool, 4 repliesalready

The bike is absolutely reliable until it breaks But seriously the only real problem I had was a power valve dipping itself into the cylinder a few mm on the ride home one night, made it home but the motor was sounding a little buzzy At the time it was about 6000Kms overdue for the regular 18000 kms top-end rebuild so I wasn't really too suprised. Yeah, its expensive to ride but as long as you keep the top end and power valves maintined to schedule it just goes.

Oh! I've done 9,000 of the 39,000km my bike's done and all I've done to it is given it an oil and filter change, (or at least Coleman's did). I still love the style, performance and chassis/build quality of the little RS, but maybe I'll pass on ownership just now! Got a pic of it? The late '97/'98 had a real nice colour scheme.

Hiya crashe , I'm looking forward to meeting them. Its unfortunate for me that I'm not usually available to join in on the weekend rides. It'd be great to meet up with some people that can ride on the weekdays, work and other commitments permitting. Most of my riding is commuting, a few good kms through the backroads to Silverdale then the Northern which is no fun at all at legal speeds and just makes my tyresflat in the centre

    Cool

There are few that are free weekdays for a blat...

You could even start up a thread in the Meetings and Events section for people to join you on a ride...

Put in the Meet up place
The time to be there at and the leaving time.
    Destination etc...

    Hi Dude.

Come on the next Thursday Night ride.

Starts out Westgate around 6:30pm and heads over to the Speights Ale House in Albany for beer and exspensive food, or you can fight the rest of us for the free food they provide.

I've read about those and thought it'd be cool except I've got about 30kms of Rodney District's finest back roads to survive including about 7kms of metal roads and the whole thing decorated with their finest attempts to kill bikers. I did it for a couple of years but I'm not so keen to ride the back roads in the dark and wet on a regular basis anymore.

But with all that said I'm still keen to join up with you all sometime.

I've been working in Wellington M-F for the last 3 months so no chance to ride. Got to admire those Welly riders, I saw the same bikes parked up every day no matter what the weather! And I saw some pretty cool bikes there too.

Anyways, next time I'm riding on a Thursday I'll join yas
