Where abouts is this MotoGP event to be held? It would be a bit churlish to get oneself to Assen or Catalunya (or even Phillip Island) and not go to the MotoGP. In those circumstances the last thing on one's mind should be the cost of admission. Now if this event was at Te Marua...

    Hello Bartman10,

I am going to Phillip Island in September and am getting far too excited at pimping myself out with Moto GP gear. Did you spend much time looking at the merchandise at Assen? Do most of the stalls sell the same thing or is there a Kawasaki stall, a Ducati stall, etc... Is it the same stuff as what you can find on the net? How does it compare pricewise with stuff on the net?

Again, I need to not worry about this, but it is far more interesting to think about than work. For the next hour I will probably vary things by thinking about hooters and how they have impacted on my life.

    p.s Oh, and $200+ because I have.

Bartman you are one lucky bugger. You dont know what i would do to go to a motogp race. And i would pay 200+ in the blink of an eye!

I agree with you guys. All though it would be extremely! awesome i really cannot see it happening.Taupo just isnt big enough. Also even though the track is awesome its nothing compared to overseas tracks. No where to stay and the demand is not as big here.
Sete you will be missed, champion at heart.

    Hi L. L.

Regarding Merchandising: Depends on whom you support.

If you like Rossi, then you could spend about a million bucks, if you like the Suzuki boys you won't spend a thing. I was a bit disappointed about that. Not a single Suzuki shirt or hat.

At Assen there was some stuff related to the circuit. I bought an Assen hat, some badges, and, in traditional Dutch blue, some cool commemorative tiles.

There was a Kawasaki brand display, very expensive. There was also some Ducati and Honda stuff and one outfit that sold tee shirts and stuff with the MotoGP logo. No Suzuki, No Yamaha.

But mostly (99%) was Rossi stuff . He's got total market domination; the other riders didn't really feature at all.

The biggest seller on the day was prolly chips and mayonaise though. They drown 'em in that stuff!

Prices were about the same as on the 'net.

    Cheers
